There comes a point in life when waiting becomes more dangerous than acting.
Not because something bad is about to happen — but because nothing is happening at all.
I'm 60. this year. And instead of shrinking my world, I've decided to expand it. Not recklessly. Not desperately. But deliberately.
I call this philosophy Live Life Large.
Living life large doesn't mean living fast, loud, or extravagantly. It means living awake. It means designing a life that reflects who you are now — not who you were expected to be decades ago.
For many of us, midlife arrives quietly. The children grow up. The career stabilises or fades. The routines harden. And suddenly, the question appears:
Is this it?
Most people respond by numbing the question. I chose to answer it.
Living life large is about reclaiming authorship of your own life. It's about asking:
- Who do I want to be now?
- What do I want to experience before I die?
- What would I regret not trying?
This isn't about abandoning responsibility. It's about refusing to abandon yourself.
Over the next year, I'm living what I call The Freedom Model — a life without fixed assets, without ownership as identity, without postponement. A life built around movement, contribution, exchange, and presence.
This blog is not about travel tips.
It's not about retirement.
And it's not about escape.
It's about remembering that your life is still yours.
If you've ever felt the quiet urgency of time — this space is for you.
